The Loikaw-Mobye-Pekhon-Pinlaung communication route, a critical transportation artery, has been successfully reopened. Authorities are now undertaking extensive clearing and reconstruction efforts on roads and hospitals in the area, following its recapture from control by the KNPP, KNDF, and PDF-affiliated armed groups.

The Myanmar military forces regained control of this vital route on the afternoon of July 11th.

To acknowledge the courageous efforts of civil servants serving in the Pekhon-Mobye region who bravely fought to retake the communication route, a ceremony was held this morning at the Pekhon Township General Administration Department office. During the event, essential supplies including rice, oil, food, and consumer goods were distributed.

The ceremony was attended by notable officials including Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, Lieutenant General Naing Naing Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of the Eastern Command Major General Zaw Min Latt, along with state government ministers, departmental officials, military personnel, Myanmar Police Force members, civil servants, and local ethnic residents serving in the Pekhon-Mobye area.

Following the ceremony, officials visited the Mobye People’s Hospital, which sustained damage when the armed groups temporarily controlled the area and reportedly used the hospital as a defensive barrier, constructing bunkers within its premises. Collective efforts are now underway to clean and rehabilitate the hospital to facilitate its reopening.

Similarly, heavy machinery is being utilized to clear dense bushes and vegetation along both sides of the Pekhon-Pinlaung road.
